Leona at 1!
It’s another No.1 success for Leona, as ‘Run’ stormed straight to the top of the singles charts this weekend - and on downloads alone!
Many thanks for all your amazing support of Leona this past year, and what a perfect way to round off 2008: a No.1 single, and Spirit - The Deluxe Edition at No.3 in the album charts!
2008 has been a truly incredible year for Leona – and it’s just got even better with news that ‘Run’ has become the fastest-selling digital release ever!!
After just two days on sale, ‘Run’ has sold a staggering 69,244 units. This is even more impressive if you consider that the previous record held for the biggest ever digital-only Number One record was Estelle featuring Kanye West, which sold 51,857 units in a week. Leona has already passed this mark and she’s still got the rest of the week to go!

It’s the news you’ve all been waiting for… Following massive public demand, ‘Run’ will be released on download this weekend!
Leona first performed ‘Run’ on Jo Whiley’s Live Lounge last year, and her haunting take on the song proved so popular that it was included on Spirit - The Deluxe Edition, currently Number One in the charts! Then, Leona’s recent show-stopping performance of the track on The X Factor prompted a flood of requests for the single to be released on download… so here it is!
‘Run’ will be available on iTunes from this Sunday, 30th November, as will Spirit - the Deluxe Edition. Spirit - The Deluxe Edition will be available to download from all other digital stores as of 8th December.
